Its roots treat diarrhea and rheumatism.

TodtaraShringi is a small shrub with a distinct growth pattern. The entire plant has small thorns. It blooms seasonally, shedding leaves. The leaves are small and clustered, resembling a bunch. It gets its name TodtaraShringi from the unique arrangement of its leaves, which resemble a bunch.

The flowers are fragrant, with a pleasant scent and a light green color. The fruits are berry-like with a smooth texture. The seeds are small, like mustard seeds.

TodtaraShringi, also known as TodtalaVadi, Ilachi, and Ilasumi in different regions, is extensively used in medicine. The entire plant is utilized medicinally.

To prepare TodtaraShringi for treating diabetes, the entire plant is dried, powdered, and made into tablets. These tablets are consumed with warm water twice a day for up to 48 days.

To control excessive bleeding during menstruation, the entire plant is boiled, and the decoction is consumed with honey twice a day. Additionally, a paste made from the plant's roots and honey should be applied externally on the lower abdomen.

To treat skin infections and wounds, the leaves are crushed, made into a paste, and applied on the affected area twice a day.

For toothache and gum problems, the leaves are crushed, made into a paste, and applied on the affected area twice a day.

For joint pain and swelling, the leaves are crushed, made into a paste, and applied on the affected area twice a day.

Consistent application of TodtaraShringi paste is necessary until the condition improves. It should be applied twice daily for best results.

For headache and sinusitis, the leaves are crushed, and the juice is instilled into the nostrils.

For earache and ear infections, the juice extracted from the leaves is used as eardrops.

TodtaraShringi has numerous medicinal properties and can be used to treat various ailments effectively.
