(Small Explanation): Common Properties: Sida cardifolia is a small shrub. Its leaves are typically green in color. Its flowers are dark yellow and have 5 petals. Its upper part has small, hairy buds. It grows up to 50-200 centimeters in height. Its stem is brownish-green in color. Its origin is in Brazil and later it spread to India, Africa, Australia, South America, Indonesia, New Guinea, France, and Sri Lanka. It grows in all types of soils, including agricultural lands and roadside areas. It is called "Nila Thuthi" in Tamil. It is propagated by seeds.

Medicinal Properties: The leaves of Sida cardifolia help in cleaning the blood vessels, reducing body weight, decreasing blood impurities, relieving cough, promoting nerve growth, asthma, protecting from infections, and treating jaundice. Its oil content helps in healing wounds.

By mixing a little amount of Sida cardifolia leaves with green gram, grinding them into powder, and boiling them in half a liter of milk, and drinking it thrice a day helps in relieving jaundice.

Giving 20 grams of powdered leaves mixed with honey twice a day to children in the morning and evening cures anemia, cold, indigestion, and promotes growth.
